Slacking Off
Hello again all, it seems we haven't talked for a while, either in a podcast or in the old fashioned blog posts. This last week for both me and Kathryn has been absolutely crazy. I cannot remember the last time that I plurked, or even emailed someone. Terrible I know. But I have not forgotten our faithful readers, and to be honest, I have kinda missed sitting down and tapping a few thoughts into a blog post.
To start with, since the last podcast, I have helped clean and pack a dorm room, with about two times the stuff in mine. I have been dragged all around Kathryn's school for about 10 days, which was actually enjoyable. I went to bed after midnight every night for the past 10 days, which for me is a record. A good amount of knitting has gotten done of which I shall show in the next episode.
But I would have to say one of the main reasons why I/Kathryn haven't podcasted, is that Kathryn graduated last weekend. So I have been to receptions and ceremonies, on top of the packing and cleaning. We fell into bed every night for the last 3-5 days totally exhausted from all of the stuff we had to do, so if we remembered to podcast, I promise they would not have been pretty. Mum flew up to Buffalo on Friday and joined us, and we all stayed with her at a friend's house on Saturday after graduation, which was chaos in itself. We hadn't seen them in a good few years, and all kids and Mrs. Smith were vying for every free moment of ours. It was a lot of fun, and a nice break, but very tiring.
So, since we are all home, after a very very long day of travel (of which we will expand upon in the next podcast) there will be some changes to the podcast. These I assure you will be temporary, until the end of the summer, and we are all on our way back to our respective campuses. We will post one podcast a week, on Wednesdays, instead of 3 per week. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Episode 48: Caramel Syrup and Sleep
With all that we have to do today, and the weekend and such, you will just have to tune in to see what we have been up to. It will be entertaining, I promise.
And as promised, here is the Man from Milwaukee, by Hanson, so our ramblings at the end of the podcast actually makes sense.

Episode 46 Monday again really
Mondays are really sneaking up on me. So go one post below and find out who we nominated for an award. Go see yep I mean you.
Liebster Award
This weekend, the coolest thing happened to us! A good friend and fellow blogger of ours, Kristen at the Crafty Quilter's Closet has nominated us for the Liebster award. I had no idea this even existed till Kristen stopped by and told us, so here it is...
The Liebster award is given to blogs with less than 200 followers, and gives you the chance to thank the person that awarded it to you, and pay it forward to 5 other deserving and wonderful bloggers out there.
I have to say, it was had to decide on only 5 deserving people, especially since we have so many bloggin friends out there, but here is who we picked...
1). Suezee, of Suezee Knits.
2). Sadie of Yarnivore
3). Kimberly of Sockbunny Knit and Fit
4). Vicki of Dragonfly Soars
5). Cathrine of Noteable Needlework
So, to our 5 nominees, here is your homework. We did ours, now its your turn...
1. Thank your award presenter on your blog and link back to him/her
2. Copy and paste the award to your blog
3. Present the Liebster Award to 5 blogs that you think deserve to be recognized.
4. Let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
5. Have faith that your followers will spread the love too!
Congratulations to all of the nominees, and Kristen again for her nominations. And as I type, Mum is recording today's episode, so stay tuned!

Episode 45: Self Handicapping
Show Notes:
WIP's: RĂ©allon- past most of the shaping, and is coming along nicely due to a weekend of destressing. It had to get put down because of what happened to my finger. I drew blood and put a hole in it, which is just now almost healed.
Moonlight sonata- not much love aside from a row or two.
Newest project-For once I acted on an impulse and casted this on, it is the Sewanee, in 5th avenue's Toe-rriffic sock yarn in the vineyard colorway. I need a project that wouldn't make my finger too much worse, so this was it, and I needed a straight knitting project anyway, so everyone wins it seems.
FO's- I forgot about the Tolliver baby sweater, so I will post a picture below. It was gifted to my professor last Monday, since the end of the semester was going to be nuts and I wouldn't have had a good time to give it to her. She loved, and so did every ounce of estrogen in the vicinity.
A big thank you to Debknits2 for joining the ravlery group, and an even bigger thanks to both of my KAL buddies from last month, Debcquilts and Elizstitches, for bringing our KAL to victory! You will have to tune in to see who won the pattern! And get your sock yarn ready, my KAL for next month will be sock related!
Have a great weekend everyone, and when we meet again (or when you see me again) I will be in Buffalo, driving my co-host Kathryn bonkers!

Episode 45-Last week of classes=I'm brain dead
It's the last week of classes-FINALLY! But that means I graduate in 2 weeks, and its the end of our RA staff. Lots of tears accompany goodbyes this week and will continue until I go home, but then I go home!
WIP's: Joe's Scarf, I know I said it last week, but it will get done!
Gaia Sweater: I think this one might be in hibernation until summer since I cannot seem to find the time to work on it.
Beaded Shawl: Coming along nicely!
Have a great week, Happy Knitting!
